How to be Lovely

So, if you don't already know, I am obsessed with Audrey Hepburn. She is someone whom I look up to and have so much respect for, not only in her style but in her life priniples. She is such a classy and greaceful woman, I strive to be half as a woman as she was to her family, friends, and anyone she came in contact with.

I was looking around on the internet and found a neat site that shared so much on being a true lady and having a lovely spirit. I loved the website! Its called elegantwoman.org....check it out!

Here are some tips from the website:

How To Be Lovely
She who is altogether lovely...

is generous with her smile
is kind
is on time, if not a little early.
believes others come first.
is disciplined in her mind and heart.
is impeccable in appearance.
has a good work ethic.
has a balanced life with her values intact
loves.
never lets herself believe that anybody is different from anybody.
is gracious.
is authentic and never puts on pretenses.
is a giver.

"The song of the redeemed, the echoes of those made free."

For the new years, one of my goals for this year is to read every Beth Moore study. I am so excited for this because I literally have been known to read through her books in about three days. Her wisdom and power is something that is God given and it is only the Lord that speaks through her. There is so much freedom and grace in her words. And the Lord uses her to speak to men and women who have been through everything stemming from good to bad. In the second book of hers for the year, it was an eye opening study, but it was worth every word I read in her study. This study is called When Godly People Do Ungodly Things, Arming Yourself in the Age of Seduction. There is so many lessons to learn from this book. When I purchased the book, I was scared of the title, well, not the title, but one word. Ungodly. It is such an uncharacteristic word I would not want to be labeled as, but as I read through the book, it showed me so much about how the Devil can use anything and everything in our lives as schemes.

Here is an passage from the book that really touched me:

"God is huge. He is awesome, indeed terrifying. He is powerful. He holds all the keys to life and death, ecstacy and agony. Our futures are entirely in His hands. He is sovereign, and He answers to no one. He holds the oceans in the palm of His hands. The lightning checks in with Him. But for His mercym we would all be consumed. He is Holy and does not wink at wickedness. He lifts up and casts down. He makes the mind and can break the mind. When He rises from His throne, His enemies scatter. He has so equal. He is complete, pure, unadulterated otherness."
